Crash load cases are often required in the design of automotive components. The materials cards Envalior provides for its materials are an important contribution to improve the accuracy of crash simulations. Learn more about the wor-horse isotropic (MAT24) material card for LS-Dyna (and other solvers), as well as material cards capable of representing local anisotropy induced by glass fiber orientation. Lucien Douven will explain the details of these modelling approaches for a number of load cases we have tested on an in-house developed part: We will look ahead to some future developments including the use of virtual engineering to extend our material card database for crash simulation.
