Silencing the Gears - Understanding Noise in Plastic Gear Applications
Description
As electric motors become quieter, gear noise is becoming an increasingly important issue. This session will explore our latest findings on the noise characteristics of plastic gears compared to metal gears, including measurement and modelling. Also other important aspects like root stress fatigue and abrasive wear predictions will be addressed.
